ARLON
Arlon is a town of culture which is committed to preserving the Gallo-Roman heritage present in its territory. The town owns or manages several sites and museums directly linked to its ancient past, namely the Archaeological Museum of Arlon, the Jupiter Tower, the Neptune Tower, and the Roman baths. In order to honor this Gallo-Roman past, the town organizes a “Gallo-Roman Weekend” every first weekend of September during which numerous historical reconstruction activities are presented in the streets and squares of the town, in front of a large audience.
Over the past twenty years, the town’s urban development and real estate projects have enabled the the Walloon region’s archaeological services to carry out numerous excavation campaigns in the very heart of the current town. The results of these excavations have considerably increased our knowledge of ancient Arlon, and have enriched the collections of the Archaeological Museum of Arlon.

How to arrive
By plane:
– The nearest airport is Luxembourg; from Luxembourg airport, a bus connects Luxembourg station, then a train to Arlon.
– Flibco shuttle buses connect Arlon to Brussels South Charleroi airport.
– Brussels airport is accessible by train.
By train:
– Get off at Arlon, then 10 minutes walk (about 550 meters)
By car:
– Highway E411 (Brussels-Luxembourg), exit Arlon, follow Center then Museums
By bus:
– Stop at “25 août”
